Hi,
Im new on this board ... pretty nice board 
Im doing an order for a MP lvl 51 chain crown, my ACer is lvl 1114 and after 103 retries i still dont have the MP ... im bugged or im not lucky? |

just having a bad streak there. it comes and goes ... i've had 200 makes no mp .. and i've had 3 mp in 5 makes. all you can hope for is the long streaks on the gloves/boots and not the expensive stuff hehe

After 147 retries i stopped making the lvl 51 chain crown ... spent 10.7 plats on retries and vault like 30 99% crown.
And now i know why i didnt make it ... my leatherworking was too low. After the lvl 1030 ACing i started making plate armors for my paladin and lvling in the same time but you dont get pts into leatherworking while making plates ... to get pts into leatherworking i start tailoring. Now my leatherworking is at the same lvl of my armorcrafting.

i dont think subskills have any effect on your ability to make MP gear ... thats a good question for the Tradeskills TL or the grab bag

I made lvl in tailoring only to get lvl in leatherworking, thats it ...
You can make a basic leather gloves lvl 15 and get pts in leatherworking at lvl 1020.
My armorcrafting was at lvl 1115 and my leatherworking was at 1020 ... i did some tailoring (leather pieces) and now my leatherworking is equal to my armorcrafting.

I don't think your problem was your leatherworking skill. That shouldn't effect your MP making chances. 103 retries is just a bad run. I've had a few runs just like that and my AC skill is 1165 and leather is also right up there.

My personal "record" is 291 tries before MP scale wreath (not sure if that equals chain or plate?)
Other days I get MP in first try  |

| You get a 2% chance for MP if skill is above 1115. 1% for below. That is not a cumliative % either. It is very low and it is a hit or miss. It is the same for all area's of crafting, not just AC. The only difference is what skill you need before you get the 2%. |

Actually, you get a 2% chance for MP if your skill is 1000+ OR the item is grey to you for all crafts regardless. |
